SUMMARY :
You will be primarily responsible for carrying out detailed purchasing and requisitioning, maintaining an efficient, quality supply chain, material planning and inventory volume management.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Research and identify the best sources of supply
- Place purchase orders with various suppliers
- Efficiently manage inventory by ensuring the accuracy of current inventory, orders, purchases and sales data from the Microsoft Dynamics SL management system, and ensure adequate inventory levels to achieve the desired level of service
- Analyze the daily summary of orders, to ensure optimization of transport and purchasing conditions according to negotiated agreements, and address any issues
- Carry out purchasing projections, periodic inventories and inventory control to maintain overall inventory levels within established targets
- Ensure optimal distribution of inventory across all warehouses and optimize the inter-warehouse transfer process
- Receive merchandise and coordinate material movements while ensuring follow-up
- Participate in purchasing planning to optimize operational efficiency
- Conduct annual supplier evaluations
- Maintain an up-to-date supplier database
QUALIFICATIONS :
- D.E.C./AEC in supply chain, inventory, purchasing or equivalent
- 3 to 5 years' experience in procurement
- Strong command of various computer applications (Microsoft Dynamics SL, Microsoft Office mandatory (Excel Advanced)
- Fluency in spoken and written French and fluency in spoken and written English (essential);
- Excellent organizational skills (methodical and structured), with emphasis on quality of detail (accuracy) and continuous improvement
- Demonstrate a high level of initiative and resourcefulness, and a high degree of autonomy
- Analytical and problem-solving skill
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
