SUMMARY :
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the Mechanical and Infrastructure Project Manager is responsible for implementing various building and optimization projects. He/she plays a key role in the smooth running of operations. He/she is also involved in continuous improvement projects.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage projects as a whole, meet with customers, coordinate teamwork, ensure financial performance of projects.
- Prepare project-specific studies, analyses, expert reports and technical reports.
- Prepare specifications and estimates for new projects.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams to meet deliverables and deadlines.
- Execute process improvement projects.
- Participate in project development with relevant personnel.
- Maintain work and product quality standards (HACCP, SQF, etc.).
- Evaluate OHS risks related to the project and take the necessary measures to eliminate them, and ensure compliance with health and safety instructions and company regulations.
- Act as a technical reference for existing team members.
- Plan and organize training needs in collaboration with immediate supervisor.
- Work closely with the maintenance team.
- Participate in meetings to improve productivity, work environment, etc.
- Work in collaboration with the quality control department on any problems that may affect product quality.
QUALIFICATIONS :
- 5 years' relevant experience in the field
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Membership in the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec is an asset
- Fluency in French (spoken and written); knowledge of English an asset
- Very good knowledge of MS Office suite (Excel, Word, MS Project)
