SUMMARY :
Responsible for ensuring that a product or service meets established quality standards, including reliability and performance requirements for our three (3) sites located in Toronto, Quebec and Alberta. He/she will be responsible for standardizing practices within the company and reviewing inspection standards. You will need to build an excellent partnership with the various stakeholders, and a presence on the production floor is required and necessary. This position reports directly to the Engineering Manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Write, interpret and implement quality assurance and inspection policies and procedures.
- Develop and plan sampling procedures and guidelines for recording and reporting quality data.
- Document internal audits and other quality assurance activities.
- Investigate customer complaints and non-conformance issues to develop corrective and preventive measures.
- Collect, compile and analyze statistical quality data for improvement.
- Identify training needs and organize training interventions to meet quality standards.
- Coordinate and support on-site audits by external suppliers.
- Responsible for document management systems for ISO standard.
- Act as resource person for our data management system (SAP).
QUALIFICATIONS :
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Minimum 3 years experience in a quality-related role for a manufacturing company (an asset)
- Knowledge of ISO 9001
- Experience as a quality auditor, quality improvement and Six Sigma
- Experience in quality inspection, auditing and testing
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite programs at intermediate level
- Experience in personnel management
- Travel required, minimum 10%
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Problem-solving orientation; Solution-oriented approach
- Knowledge of SAP management software is an asset
